Busy but lovely

2 Dr. appointments today! Kids are so funny! We went to the Dr. to check Trinitys ear to make sure the antibiotic had done it's job. Dr. Thampy looked in the other ear and found a piece of blue plastic! Hmmmmmm what had Trinity stuck in her ear? Last week the plastic was not there so she must have just put it in there! We couldn't get it out so now we will be using ear drops and then coming back next week for another try at removing the
mystery blue thingy!
After the Dr. We went on a walk around Woodward Park! It's been a busy but beautiful day!

T and Me!

What a fun mom and son night we had! Thanks friends for the dinner ideas!

We started off the evening at Blackbeards! Trent did the ropes course and the racecars!


He was so brave on the ropes..... I'm scared of heights!


He definitly takes after his brave dad!


Loved hanging out with my favorite buddy! We had a great time! Now were home getting ready for bed. Excited for what God has planned tomorrow! We serve an extraordinary God who loves to do the unexpected! Surprise me oh Lord! I love your surprises! Change lives and make yourself known!

Road to Fit!

As some of you know, for the past 2 weeks now I have been doing the P90X program! Wow.... Is about all that I can say!!

I am feeling stronger and more energized then I have felt in a long time. The workouts require a lot of determintion and a willingness to keep going even when you don't feel like it. Sometimes I feel like giving up but, I wont! Friday I pulled a muscle in my shoulder, which has prevented me from giving the workouts my best this week! I'm not going to give up though! I'm going to work harder, and after my shoulder feels better I plan on adding an additional cardio to the mix. Im already noticing a difference! I definitly recommend the program to you! It works!

Kassis, me and Krista- after an hour of Kenpo (martial arts/kick boxing) then a mile run in the rain to cool off!

Ouchy Ear!

Just took little sis to the Dr. She has an ouchy ear infection! So sad! Makes my heart hurt when my kids hurt!

McDonalds and a phone call from Daddy always makes her feel better! I love my girl! She is precious!

Donuts with Dad!

What a fun week this has been so far! This morning is Donuts with Dad! Trent was so excited to have his dad join him at school for the yummy SUGAR FILLED breakfast!! Breakfast with sugar is definitly out of the norm for us, so you can imagine how excited Trent was to devour the yummy treat!

Update from Dave: they had a great time! Even had the chance to sit with one of Trents friends and his dad (another contractor)! Dave and the fellow dad hit it off talking about construction stuff! I'm sure Trent was so proud to have his dad join him on this fun filled morning!

Tomorrow: Cal Skate day! Trent won an award at school and gets to skip out early! I'll blog about it tomorrow!

Go Trent!

I am so proud of Trent! As parents we try our best to teach Trent how important it is to
have good character and integrity. I am so pleased to have heard yesterday, when his teacher called and informed me of how well Trent has been doing! She said that he has great character and integrity! She also said that he is always pushing himself to do his best. She is very pleased with his behavior and that he is a wonderful student!
Wow.... Now that is what every mom wants to hear!

Way to go Trent I'm so proud of you!

Hunk of Burnin Love!

Well the hubby decided to lift again! I have to say I'm really enjoying the muscles lol! Every once in a while he will send me a picture update to enjoy! It's a blessing being married to a good lookin man!! Were both finally trying to get back in shape! Better now then never! Dave will be 38 this year and I will be 35 wow where did the time go?! When we met, Dave was 28 and I was 25! This year we have set a goal to be not only healthy, but also physically fit! Were eating clean, working out, and lowering both of our body fat percentages! This change in our lifestyle is a gift to ourselves and to eachother I have to add!
Fit is healthy, fit is beautiful, fit is rewarding......... Fit is the new skinny!!

The Routine of Our Days!

I love, love, love our morning routine! Driving Trent to school is one of my favorite things! Breathing in the fresh morning air, priceless and unforgettable conversations; listening and praying with him before he gets out of the car! These amazing times hold some of the deepest places in my memory! If I sit back and think about how fast time goes by it causes me to re-evaluate how I look at the fast pace of every morning. Sure sometimes mornings are difficult!! Grouchy, tired and complaining children who want to sleep rather then get up, can make a morning feel like the movie ground hog day lol! But in reality as tedious and redundant as the daily routine may be, one thing never stays the same- and that's the fact that my children are growing up! I won't always have these special occasions with them where we can laugh about simple nothings on the way to school. I choose to look at these times as valuable jewels hidden safely in the treasure box of my heart! They were given to me and I am so thankful! Someday Trent will be driving his children to school and experiencing the same routines! My advice to him is seize the moments, soak up the smiles, cherish the conversations and never, ever forget to pray before you drop your kids off! Mommy loves you buddy! Every moment with you is my favorite!!
